What is dry brush exfoliation? A dry brush exfoliation involves the use of a soft, dry, natural brush to gently brush the skin. It is used in spas and recommended by holistic practitioners to remove dead skin cells, improve the circulation of blood and lymph, and to enhance detoxification through skin.Your skin is the body’s largest organ and the body’s first line of defense. In addition to exercising or getting massages, skin brushing will enhance and speed up the body’s release of toxins by also encouraging exfoliation, blood circulation, and new cell growth. The purpose of dry brushing is to stimulate blood and lymph flow, and to remove toxins from the body. It can also be very relaxing. Some sources also claim that dry brushing can smooth fat deposits and reduce cellulite.Always brush up towards the heart. Start by brushing the soles of the feet, because the nerve endings in the feet affect the entire body. Next brush the ankles, calves, and thighs, then brush across your stomach and buttocks. Lastly, brush from your hands to your arms. Do circular, counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen and lighter strokes over and around the breasts, but do not brush the nipples. Brush each part of the body several times and make sure you brush the entire body as shown in the above diagram. For the best results, exercise before brushing, and do this in the morning before showering. Do this about twice a week and you should feel very energetic and rejuvenated! Do not brush on your face! You can try this same technique in the shower with a loofah, too!
I’ve never heard about this before, but it sounds really relaxing and nice! I definitely want to try it, and I’ll let you guys know how it feels when I do!

Cookie Dough Oatmeal Bake for ONE!
Servings: 1 | Calories: Around 180
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup oats (50g)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- sweetener, such as 1 1/2 T maple syrup or 1 to 1 1/2 packs stevia (Omit if wanted!)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (60g) (Or sub banana… it’s awesome this way!)
- 1/4 cup milk, creamer, juice, or water (I used 60g)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Handful of chocolate chips (and a few for the top, too!)
- Optional: unless you like the taste of fat-free baking, add 1-2T oil, vegan butter, or nut butter (If oil, scale the milk back a little. If vegan butter, scale the salt back a little.)
- Optional: 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cinnamon (If you like cinnamon in chocolate chip cookies)
PROCEDURE:
Preheat oven to 380 degrees.
Combine dry ingredients, then mix in wet.
Pour into a small baking pan, loaf pan, or 1-cup ramekin (or, for mini boats, two 1/2-cup ramekins)
Cook for 20 minutes, or more until it’s firm.
Finally, set your oven to “high broil” for 3-5 more minutes (or simply just bake longer, but broiling gives it a nice crust).
*Don’t forget to spray your ramekins first if you want your cakes to pop out.*Create a recipe with oats and without nuts and you have my heart.
Definitely trying this soon!!

Personal posts, common interest, interesting/new posts that I haven’t seen before, and attitude. If someone is a jerk to their followers, it’s a deal breaker
Ooooh Good Answer! Being rude to your followers is so mean and some people take it so far out of line!!!!
reblog please <3 I want to follow some serious bitches who are making some serious life changes

Here is the Question: When following a tumblr blog, what criteria do you look for?
I personally look for:
- Personal post
- Links
- Common interest (Ex. Strength training, heights, weights, stories, etc.)
- RECIPESSSS!!!!! (this isn’t a deal breaker but I love getting new recipes from other blogs who have tried them out)
I think I just like more personal blogs and really getting to know the person behind the blog.

gunna lie. Haven’t been to the gym since Thursday last week. I worked out tonight @ home. I just kept pushing myself harder and harder. Didn’t give myself breaks. Ended up hurting myself but was still determined to push. I feel I needed to take time and evaluate my priorities. Now don’t get me wrong working out needs to be a big priority but I also need to think about my safety and health. I just pushed and pushed without any rest.
BUT that will change I have made a plan designated my rest days and I have my husband to hold me to it. I also have my gym buddy Allie! My bff and PIC!
Just gotta get my head back in the game and keep my head leveled in the gym. Have to realize I Can’t be super woman in a week lol!
